Visibility in outdoor scenes at night

    I really like this change. It still feels dark and night time but as a player it's not a crippling blindness. Night vision is still useful, but no longer a requirement.

    This is probably the best quality of life change I can think of within the last 2 years...

    Many cheers for this! As someone with real-time processing difficulties due to aspergers syndrome, this greatly expands my range of gameplay options.

    I preferred the old 'proper' darkness, I found it realistic and a challenge to my tactics, but hey wtf, it isn't a massive deal, good news that folks like it.

    I actually like dark darkness quite a lot in single-player games for those same reasons, so I get that perspective too. But it becomes a struggle in multiplayer settings because of the additional tasks of trying to chat, coordinate, or keep up with other players combined with the removal of the abilities to advance world time on my own or pause the game to give me more time to process and figure stuff out.

    Absolutely, though I have to add, the visual quality of the transition from day to night and vice versa is now even more ugly than it was. before.
