I just voted for SotA to receive the award "The “Haunts My Dreams” Award. This award is about what we consider the most addictive game we play on Steam. Well, there you have it. To me, SotA wins! Vote now! http://store.steampowered.com/SteamAwardNominations/

    Voting ends November 28th!

Would have liked to have nominated SotA for the "Choices Matter" award, but its not there yet, so I'll have to pick another ;) Curiously, I know a game where “Where oh where should I plant those turnips” fits to a tee.

As long as SotA is not officially released I won't vote for this game in any voting.
So I am good enough to give my money and I am good enough to vote for the game but I should not rate or review it yet because it is still Early Access? That is not how it works.

I have to agree, this game is not released yet and will not make it in any other list then "Most anticipate Game" maybe. But Steam Award had non of these Categories last year. So i wouldnt expect to get it in any list. You cant win a price for something that is not finished yet.

Most Moderated Game would get my vote, but decided to use it on a worthwhile game.

If SotA haunts your dreams then it haunts your dreams regardless of being early access.

Where game reviews are concerned it is simply less helpful to provide feedback on the entire game than it is to open discussion on singular issues.

Yet if you have to pay for something it is good to know if the overall quality is worth spending money on the product.

Honestly I can't imagine the possibility of a negative review for SotA that takes into account the sheer magnitude of the updates the game has received over the last year, or the major updates that are planned for the years post launch.

Regardless, your uproar over being 'silenced' in terms of reviewing the game doesn't quite match up with the amount of which you have actually been silenced. One year ago, when reviews urged people not to support this game based on the new player experience and the level of polish, they were told that it was simply too soon to be judging the game in that regard. There were some people who argued how 'persistence' enabled them to write such reviews, but at this point we have surely proven them wrong to think that those aspects were completed works. No?

Yet nobody has been silenced either way. If you truly are not able to admit that SotA haunts your dreams and vote accordingly over something as baseless as the argument you are trying to make here, then you may not be the supporter that you thought you once were.

I don't blindly support products anymore. I learnt my lesson.
Blindly following something or someone never has been good in history or has it?

And supporting SotA in every regard while closing my eyes to the things that are still not good would be blindly following it.

Perhaps the most valuable supporters are the ones, like myself, who only supported RG by way of thanks for all his past works, regardless of what we got out of it for doing so.

My point here is only that, being the type of backer I am permits me to vote appropriately, speak truthfully and without agenda. Worries that I might not get what I paid for ended with R1 and I am reminded of that every time I see Lord British smiling cheerfully.
