Thanks to the Ahnen Hain owners I could try out my waterworld POT idea on QA, 9 waterlots plus homes place and room for lots more!

makes me wonder how difficult it would be to make a POT biome bases on the fishing expedition. small island area in the middle, and nothing but water all around.

I like it too. Very different feel from the usual land-based POTS.

Enhanced the second overhead shot slightly for more contrast.

We need some actual docks for deco.

too many right angles, not enough boats!

(we need actual boat homes smaller than town)

We need a way to upgrade POT water lots to tax free.

It would be interesting too if we had the proper deco pieces to make this more of a canal city like Venice (or Fawn in the Ultima games) rather than just a Waterworld type setup, although the Waterworld setup is cool for a piratey city.

Another idea for a POT I once sketched out is a kind of grotto-nested city, which would be like an underground POT biome but with a large part of the map being just an underground lake fed in by the sea. The concept was that ships would enter the grotto through a big iron gate and then land at a dock at the other end of the lake, where there would be a sort of piratey town built on some dry rock. I'm sure such a concept could also include buildings on stilts though like in the Waterworld setup.

True, but was as an experiment to see if I could do this in a POT that I someday might own. More of an question if it could be done, answer is yes.

Would actually try to make it more chaotic than the above screenshots :)

Imagine the screenshot above filled with fishing nets, crab cages, lobster pots, crates and barrels, vendors, vendor stalls, boats, etc. Would be awesome!

Problem is Water lot deeds, do have a bunch and was thinking about renting them out but still undecided about the whole thing.

    Hi all,

Another big thank you to the Ahnen Hain folks but its no longer viewable there, I'm going to try it out in another biome. Will let you all know how it works out with screenshots.

And yes Alley, I'll make it more chaotic! maybe some extra deco :)
