We need a vendor browser

Don't you think that it will make everyones life easier?

There are thousands of vendors in the game world that we're using to sell our stuff to other players.
No one sane has the time to travel through every single town in the game to check all the vendors and find the cheapest prices.

It would be a great help for everyone if the devs could implement an online browser, either on the website or a completely separate search engine, that would allow us to search for the item we need and display all the hits with map name, vendor name and price that the items and being vendored for.

 

At that point, may as well just make a global auction house

 

There should be a happy medium between barbaric tedium to try to buy anything and a global AH of pure convenience. Something linked to the town crier in each area IMHO is more than sufficient to keep it "local" and be able to search the entire zone for what you're looking for and promptly leave if it's not there instead of spending hours and hours doing nothing. IMHO my time is more valuable than that nonsense so I don't buy anything outside of the forums.

 

I don't disagree with you. My pet name for the game is "Tedium of the Avatar".

 

Have you played Eternal Lands? Only then will you know what tedium is.

 

Goes completely counter to playing the game and exploring the world.

Yeah it would make life easier . . . .

But if you are looking for like a steady supplier then you can log in here and WTB and post what you want and thru that work on it?

Me personally I'd rather explore the world than explore the vendors. I'd rather spend my time playing the game and not going on wild goose chases looking for what might not even exist in the first place.

Definitely not fun for me at least.

 

Well, I've found some amazing deals by going to out of the way towns, and browsing their vendors... So it can be fun. But it's not something I make a habit of. There are market towns specifically for this purpose, and I like that concept.
