What are the 'floating rocks bracelets' for that are animated around my avatar's wrists?

    I was at owls head blacksmith when I noticed some rocks are floating around my avatar's wrists. What are they for? I would guess that they indicate that I am encumbered. But, I already know when I am encumbered by the icon in the buff/debuff area of my nameplate.

    Why?

    Advertising that to my oponent is not a very useful function of the spell.
    I expect it is working as intended and not a bug, I only question if that is a useful feature of a spell I cast upon myself.

    I would honestly prefer they had to look hard to find out what my buffs are.
