What is the best RPG game youve ever played on the pc and why

    Easy, Ultima 7 part 1 and 2 (Serpent Isle). Why: because it had a living breathing world, NPC schedules, day and night changes etc... and the story made you want to know what will happen next. It was design perfection (not the combat, the combat was bad, but that didn't matter).

    There was a real sense of exploration while you were on a a very compelling linear main storyline quest. I can not put my love for that game into words.

    The game never had to rely on loot or character progression to make the game fun and/or addicting. The world, the story and the NPCs made the game fun.
