What magic shield for melee

    What would everyone recommend as the magic shield for a melee fighter?
    Earth, ice, air or death. Going by description I'm leaning towards ice.

    My usual call is Death against multiple physical enemies (especially a few archers), Ice against mages, and Earth when you have Earth spec and are a Tank. Ice has the benefit of fire resist and avoidance, but if you are not fighting mages, you can get avoidance elsewhere, meanwhile death shield doesnt work on magical damage. Earth shield with Earth spec gives health, a 3rd Avoidance (doesnt count in the max 2 avoidance buffs), and with a Douse you get pretty much all around protection

    Death shield protects against physical damage like melee and archers.

    Ice shield for mages.

    Air shield for pvp.

    Chaos shield if you’re chaotic :)
