What now?

Ok, I finished Highvale outskirts quests for the FreeTrial Path of Courage and have been charged with going to Resolute. It is under siege and that is a tier 4 area, red to me. I can fight some mobs but they respawn so fast I cannot kill and loot before they repop! So where do I go next so I can grow my fighter?

 

You can quickly and with little danger run through sieges. There is always a path on the side where you will only encounter a hand full of low level enemies, probably yellow to you.

My recommendation however would be to go to Bloodriver and start the path of Truth. Or to Solace Bridge and start the path of Love. You can do all three paths in parallel, so when one path becomes too difficult, switch to a different one for a little while.

Finish up your quests in Resolute before skipping over to the other paths. Because those quests send you other directions, so you won't be back to Resolute for a while.

And yes, the sieges are high level to clear, but anyone can run right down the middle of the Resolute one, you don't even have to use the side path, just go straight across the bridge. The guards have cleared it half the time.

 

I ran over the bridge and to the right....bad move. It was an enemy camp. I died for the 2nd time trying to get to town. I tried straight and thought it took me to the world map again!

I have run all around the world map trying to get to the other starter areas but the way is eventually blocked by tier 5 areas! I am very frustrated! I will try straight through to Resolute again. All I want is to continue my journey, but tier 4+ areas are everywhere! This seems to be a very newbie UNfriendly game! I just lost power so I won’t be back soon, but I very much want to like this game.......but it is not cooperating.

 

go back into highvale, to the lunar rift. it cycles through other locations including the other two starting areas.

 

You can also fight in Highvale for a while to build your character up. Just fight the mobs in the town itself. Avoid the elf camp because the archers will tear you to pieces if your level is too low.
The siege on Resolute will only last for a little bit then you can go in.

 

Yep you can wait for the siege to end. Or use the lunar rift. Or ask someone to escort you through one of the passes, or through the siege. Actually, to learn which way to take to run through a siege unharmed is valuable, and I think most players would be willing to show you how to do it.

I had a friend playing Truth/Love/Courage who got to a difficult part of one thread and picked up another one - granted this is not an option for a free trial user.
