    Heres some suggestions -

Go into multi player and actually roll play your character! ( the responses are sometimes funny and you'll realize your terrible at RP which adds to the fun)

Gear up in your best stuff flag PVP and kill everyone you can, or be killed. (*requires gold to buy back your stuff you lost)

Gear up in the crappiest gear you have flag PVP and attack everyone you can. (*does not require gold to buy back stuff)

Go to a heavily PVP area where the is no PVP and talk trash and create enemies.

Redesign your house to match your own house .

Just Redesign your house from scratch (forget the magic mover option)

Entertain passerbys in your home town or local populated town (* If your entertaining i will tip you!)

Go to a place you should never go based on level and see how far you get before you die! (after all if you did kill some stuff you get to keep thier stuff even after death!)

Play your character using basic D&D rules if your a fighter all you can use is weapons and armor no spells(stock up on food and potions!) if your a mage slap on that cloth armor and cast away and carry a staff or wand -* no shields (stock up on food and potions!) as examples.

If your still not satisfied check out gog.com ("good ole games" and play some game you used to play a lot back in the day you enjoyed then come back to Shroud.)

Battle it out in the forums for awhile. My favorite!

those are a few suggestions to make your game play bit better until your ready to get back into the norm of Shroud.
Feel free to add what you do to make the game more fun or when you get bored of it.

    Another:

Collect all the emotes available in-game. Also, ask other players to teach you the ones they got as pledge rewards and from telethons.

Bah, I don't even wanna turn my swivel chair around. Not even sure if this game has 12 Dr. Pepper bottles, 3 pizza boxes and 2 half watermellons stuffed into a tiny trashcan.

    Joke synopsis:

    - Everybody and their grandma can identify you as an outlander through whatever unknown means NPCs have of seeing this. How? I dunno, as I've not found a lore reason for them knowing this. Until something fantastic happens your just another human, right?

    - Avatar sounds like 'have-at-her'.

    - It's a 'bartender says'... It's really only meant to be funny due to how notoriously unfunny these kind of jokes are.

    - You aren't laughing now because explaining a joke ruins it... Back to the drawing board!

Exit the game then try one of the following:
    Go outside.
Call your folks or a family member.
Spend some time in a natural setting.
    Check out the stars.
    Clean your desk/workstation
    Do something nice for someone.

Then wait a week before you play again. You will find that the sota experience is fun again, like when it was new.

I can't imagine being bored, although some nights I go in and just stand there like "My God, there's so much I should be doing, I can't even start." Then I either suck it up and get started or hit the Oracle and quit. So here's some suggestions if you are bored.

    • Dream up new (for Shroud) methods of commerce. I just launched a mail order catalog, that ate up huge quantities of time, from making sure I had my prices right, to the mail system, to formatting (gah!) to distribution. Then I realized you can't mail containers right now, had to burn 60 catalogs and go around the world picking removing the previous copy and putting v2 on all the public vendors.
    • Coordinate or host events. We recently did a circus, that's tons of time. I'm really interested in the Mystery Night concept after having done one in Vertas Chaos.
    • Stand there looking at my house and realize I suck at decorating. Consider hiring someone to do it for me.
    • Look at my outfit and realize I should spend more time styling myself, but just can't bring myself to do it when there's so many clocks to sell!
    • Make clocks.
    • Walk around on the world map playing flaming bagpipes.
    • Join a band, rehearse, and perform.
    • Try to keep track of all the events that are happening now. Seriously we need a central system that plugs directly into my brain, there's too much going on and I'm always missing things.
    • Check out @Vooch 's haunted house.
    • Check out the Museums in Seranite, New Britannia Market, probably elsewhere as well.
    • Check out the Library in Veritas Santuary, probably elsewhere as well.
    • Farm, I'm really appreciating the new farming! Now kill the water drawing.
    • When's there going to be another fishing derby?
    • Aaaah I still haven't played the mini-golf course in Diamond Fields
    • Hmm... I'll go check out the OH PV, haven't been there in a while.
    • Ok, time to process 2000 wood. Certainly do that while doing something else.
    • And I haven't been into an adventure scene in a while, time for a vacay and some monster smashing! Jeez I'm rusty.

I don't really get bored. For me there is always something to do. I do agree with change of pace by playing another game. I'm still play UO , LOTRO and ARK:Survival.
The latter 2 I play with my grandson's when they sleep over. I do have a SOTA account for them, for now they watch me and ask questions about figuring out quests and stuff. Really cool to see their young minds whirling, they will be trying the game when it's launched. They are 6 & 9, so much fun!
