Title: When I play an instrument, I cannot hear it but nearby players can
    Reproduction Rate: 100%
    Blocker? No
    Details:

    - I have checked all of my settings - master is up all the way, SFX and UI is turned up, instruments is turned up, and I can hear other in-game sounds (I like the ambient sounds, so I always have those up). I tried it with and without the Music Filter checked, but that made no difference for me.

    - When I play an ABC file on any instrument I cannot hear it, but other players standing close to me can hear it.

(I searched but didn't find this already reported. Sorry, Ally, if it has been and I missed it!)

@Alley Oop Hmm. This sounds like it might be related - but the issue I am having isn't quite the same.

I will play around with it some more tomorrow and see if I can sift out more useful information on it for you. This just started btw. I had played music yesterday (in my basement) and had no problems with it. My first step tomorrow will be to see if I can hear myself play in the basement again! After some experimentation in various scenes and with/without other characters around who can tell me if they can hear it, I should be able to give you enough info so you can figure out if you should merge this with the other one. With any luck, perhaps I can parse out some clues for One and Only! fingers crossed

Sorry, what I meant was that this was new to me. I've never had problems with music sounds before.

OMG, I can tell that this is going to be one of *those* bugs. Today I can hear the music when I play it in my POT - whether or not I am in a basement.

Next, I went to an Adventure Scene (Ulfheim) because when it happened last night I was in an adventure scene - I could hear the music. Finally, I went back to the same Adventure Scene I had been in where I had the issue (South Boundless Forest) - and now I can hear the music!

Next step (which will happen this evening):
Party up and see if it only happens when one is (a) in an adventure scene and/or (b) in a party and specifically in South Boundless Forest.

At this point, I am going to speculate that I won't be able to replicate the issue, even this evening. Other potential factors that I can think of would be whether it could be headset related (I use a Logitech G935 headset) and/or computer sound issue.

P.S. (for Anpu) I used the same ABC file (UO Sailing) that I had been using last night for the tests above.
P.P.S. (for Ally) Yeah, tack this onto the end of that other bug report. As long as I can find it so I can add to it if I find out anything else which might be useful. Thx!

yes, this has been going on for years. The only fix I know is to go out of the scene and come back in. Sometimes that fixes the problem, sometimes I have to close the entire game and reopen it to fix the problem. I have never been able to find out what causes it.
