Hello all, i was wondering what happened to all the ore (copper, gold & granite) that used to be in the "Roadside Encounters"? Ive checked the Stag, Bandit, Skeleton & Herd Dog Planes Encounters & theres no ore anymore in them. Is it just me or is everyone seeing, or in this case not seeing, the missing ore? If its everyone, then i have a few question for the game developers. Why did you remove the ore? Its alot of players (esp lowbies) only way to get ore because the mines are to high lvl & the low lvl ones are so damned hard to find its ridiculous & theres not really alot of ore in them. I mean as far as the convenience & size of the encounters compared to the winding tunnels & pits of the mine, the encounters are better for us lowbies. Besides, w/o the ore in them, theres really no sense leaving the encounters up then. All they amount to is a couple dogs & some cows or horses & the others are just a confined area, with some bad guys in it, thats all. I mean come on, the game has enough problems & stuff without creating them intentionally.

"PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORE IN ENCOUNTERS"

I entered a merchant encounter yesterday and cleaned up pretty good on gold/copper nodes.

Id like to go up to any rock and have a good crack at getting some ore. I don't mind if it isn't much at all, but UO system "felt" good.

Im not looking to be efficient or min max the process, I'd just like to swing a pick now and then on something even if its a really low chance.

Agree I loved how UO minning was hit any mountain and get various kinds of ore. Would be great if they do end up incorporating more ore like how UO had.

I wouldn't enjoy randomly hitting a rock or a mountainside all over the map in search of ore, I like ore specific nodes (with the rarer alloy drops) and by association, it enables the specific mine types.

Again just a personal balancing view, I'm not one who believes that because 'I' like something then it has to be the right and only way. I didn't reach adulthood in the 21st Century :)

Most mines IRL are specific mine types :)

Yes there are other types of ore found. But generally Gold, Silver or Copper mines could have other raw metals found. There's a few in Utah which are really cool to visit.
