Salvage skill does indeed improve chances for obtaining a pattern. GM gets it to about 1 pattern per 100 salvage attempts.

Because they are referring to weapons you can salvage for patterns. see post directly above yours.

I haven't been there in quite a while, but there was once one of the finest "looking" daggers which was located in "The Tower of the Shuttered Eye" sitting on the table of (if I remember right) the first or second floor. It looked something like a Rambo knife and (again, if I remember right) it's name was a "Hunting Knife".

I've been through many new character creations since then, so my current "Nystal TimeLord" character won't be strong enough to get there for a while. But I was wondering if it was still available there because I had picked one or two up there in the past.

But my main question is, do you think if enough of those types of (spawned) weapons, not found on monsters, could be somehow destroyed into a pattern o_O?
I was a very good looking knife :D

it can if it ever shows up in release instructions as having had a pattern added for it. i don't see why they wouldn't eventually; it doesn't have to be loot. there are things on the npc blacksmiths that have a chance for pattern

I'm a collector, so I wasn't specifically referring to items that drop patterns. Items that don't but are collectible, at least to me, are fair game for this thread. I have no idea if some of these are still obtainable, drop patterns, or quest items. That would all be excellent information.

Yes, I think that's the one, but I could have swore it said Hunting Knife" maybe 4-6 releases ago. it seems to look just slightly different than I remember, but it was a long time ago. The ribbed design was what I remembered the most.
That picture of it seems to lend itself to a knife look because it's not double bladed. But in a court of law.... I'd say that was the knife, "but if the knife doesn't fit, you must equip?" :p
    Yes, I think that's it!' :D

This is a great thread and I hope people post more locations. I visited most these places after reading this thread and farmed 10+ of each of them to add to my armory.
