This started after the last patch only.
It started only on my laptop.

[Add computer stats here when I get home, posting this now so I remember and catch people before the long weekend] It is an Acer Predator with a GTX 1080M I think.

    Updated latest Nvidia drivers (5/24).

Definitly graphical only because I can guess where the {Play} button is located to get to the next screen. I know I am hitting buttons on the next screen due to the sounds and the fact that ESC works, but I do not want to accidentally delete my character.

Tried on my PC and all was fine. I will get the stats later if this is not a known issue that I just could not find by searching the forums.

    Windows 10.
Updated yesterday 5/24. I did the nvidia update after the problem, so hopefully that means it was not the problem.

OK, that rules that out - I guess its time to look in the logs for errors.

@liz_the_wiz which logs should I show? Or are these on the server side?
I just realized I cannot use the debug system information in game because I cannot get into the game. Here is what I can pull otherwise.

I will check to see if it is using the integrated card now instead of the 980M. That is my only lead.

Any thoughts here guys? I am hoping it was just a patch problem and I'll be up and running again at next release. I am only not complaining loudly because I have a second computer where it works. Just frustrated because I want the laptop running again. Thanks.

Assuming you arent using steam, right click your launcher and select "open file location", then "Shroud of the Avatar_Data" (Not the one with launcher in it) and look through sota_log.txt for errors - now. I do get errors, but not effecting my gameplay.. so look for anything error like but not

GetPixels32 failed: insufficent pixel buffer size (1), must be at least 4 x 4
    (Filename: Line: 1341)
Failed to get pixels of splat texture
    (Filename: Line: 259)

Oh but I do use Steam. Just new location? I will try to find it. Thanks.
