Making this work requires meticulous rework of the materials/textures. Its in the plan we just have only two character artists so they split their time between the following:

    1. New Creatures, Pets, NPCs, etc.
    2. New Clothing & Armor
    3. Updating wearables to be dyeable (see the cloth dye post)
    4. Researching possible upgrades to character visuals
    5. Performance optimizations to characters
    6. Weapons

Metal armors take their color from the main metal used in crafting them.

Leather armors take their color from the type of leather used.

Cloth armor can be dyed any color, except for the cloth helm, which is forever blue until fixed...I guess I should make a formal bug report on that.

My leather helm used to be a fabulous white... and then they fixed the bug. I consider the fix to be the bug, I loved that helm. Very striking indeed.
