Why don't Brewing Ingredients stack?

I had to make an order for 200 casks. This .. is annoying.

Why can't 10 25 year whiskey ingredients stack? or 2 year or 7 year?

Why can't I stack wooden barrels (in my inventory) before they are made into casks?
Perhaps let wooden barrels stack, and also casks of a similar pattern ie spirit casks etc.

I understand that those casks can only hold ingredients so why not let them stack if
there are no ingredients in them?

Counting 200 tasks because i failed a few times on the 95% chance to make them is annoying.

Also, I really see no reason why ingredients cannot stack in inventory either.

the barrels can't stack because they're containers, but i don't know a reason why the ingredients wouldn't. maybe bug that?

 

I can get past casks not stacking they are "Containers" kinda. but ingredients should stack.

 

the casks can only contain ingredients sooo if no ingredients … like casks should stack. They can stack once you place em on your lot

 

Yeah, I wish at the very least, the brewing ingredients would stack. When doing high volume batches, I have to keep multiple containers on hand just to store them.
