It was a little frustrating have the "swap decks" key, "X" next to the arm/disarm key, "Z" as during a hot, full on Thug onslaught I would on numerous times accidently press the X and swap decks.

This would not be a problem except that there seemed to be a bug in the game which caused all my clothes to fall off when I swapped decks. Perhaps this was a whizzo jape by the devs who wanted to see me running around Nova in my draws.

Whilst I don't have any proof about the intention of the devs, I have seen the telethon clips so who knows.

But now, after extensive testing of swapping decks that bug seems to have gone and no longer do I have to cover my loincloth in haste.

Plus, I have changed the swap decks key from "X" to "keypad/", which I think you will agree is far more agreeable place for it.

As for getting naked again, sorry but I no longer do such things.

Is it the case that your decks are tied to certain gear? When you are creating/modifying a deck, there is a button on the bottom to use your currently equipped gear. So, maybe it is a bug in that you are swapping out to no gear (maybe you previously told it to equip certain gear which you no longer have in your inventory, for example).

What magnus said is probably what is happening. If you go into your controls, you can change x to m, and m to x, that way, when you accidentally hit x, you will just get rid of the compass at the top, and will not hinder your fight.

Can also just completely unbind X. Click in the key-bindings menu and hit DEL.

Um, don't you responders read ?

Dewd, you have a loincloth.... that should be sufficient.

Quite possibly, as I too have witnessed the telethons.
But... I still contend that having a loincloth should be sufficient. :p

post # 2 is on to it. If you have a deck bound to gear which is not in your inventory, it will leave that slot naked/unarmed when you swap. If you don't use deck swapping for combat, I would unbind the hot key for swap decks.

If you use the same gear for more than one deck and you want to swap in combat I would suggest you unbind your gear on those decks.

I'm disappointed that Budner has not yet addressed the loincloth issue. :(

I did suspect it was a gear issue, or selecting a certain glyph that caused other issues. It may be the case that I have a glyph that needed an item and that caused the nudity.

It should be easy for anyone to replicate if they want the freshness of the breeze around their bits and bobs.

And like I said, I changed the hot key to keypad/

Oh dear, I'm afraid Budner may not be able to resist that one...
Pretty sure I've seen him bobbing for bits on at least one occasion.....

I use control+X and control+Z because I would constantly hit those keys by mistake.

Loincloth was introduced to Novia shortly after the introduction of obsidian zippers for leg gear.
