Wiki Entry for Player Owned Towns

There are still many player owned towns that are not defined on the main SotA wiki. Going forward, having your wiki filled out is going to help you and prospective members connect. The sotawiki is THE primary link to information about your town off the sotamap.

I understand that not everyone is comfortable with editing a wiki, therefore I am offering to make the edits for you, and have instructions on how to do that listed here. HOWEVER, there is an excellent form for the pages that makes filling things out very easy, so give it a try if you can.

Fill Out Your Form

1. Make an account on the wiki: Create account
2. Go here and find your town: http://sotawiki.net/sota/Community:Towns
3. Click the name of your town and go to your page
4. Find the [Edit with Form] button and click it.
5. You can then fill in the information easily via the drop down menus.

* NOTE: It appears as if some of the choices for the menus have changed over the years, so make a point of reselecting/checking your choices and confirm they match the list available.

Want to do more ...

1. When you are done adding the form data, hit the Save Page Button at the bottom.
2. Then hit the [Edit] button, and replace the {{Under Construction}} with information about your town.

Important things to include:

• How to contact you or other managers.
• What the fiction or story of your town is.
• What kind of players or lot sizes are you looking for.
• If you are not managing your town right now, let people know when you expect to be back.

Wow, I just found this and I'd like to thank Larawyn. Looks like she hasn't been around since February, but I'm hoping someday she sees this. It was helpful to me and I appreciate it!

 

I missed this post as well, but I do try to keep the towns updated for each release. If you see anything incorrect, your town is missing, or you'd like changes made but are not comfortable doing it yourself, feel free to PM me!

 

I just added some info about Serenity Isle. OI! Lots to be done...lol. One of these days I need to open it up for settlement. Another project waiting for me to get to.
