What is doing the wishing well exept eating my precious coin ?

 

Sometimes I get a book. Odd for a wishing well, but hey.

What do you have against a well read wishing well?

 

Nothing at all, water-logged books just strike me as hard to read.. unless it is waterproof ink.

 

Maybe its a Magical book that doesnt get water logged.

 

Depends on the well.
Most of them drop books and sometimes fireworks.

although some in dangerous areas drop a little extra something..,

Also note that the player kind rewards extra if you wear the Water cloak.

 

Possible, it's not placeable in my house. Or I would put it by my hot tub, so it feels at home.

 

Eventually, purportedly, they (and Fountains) are also supposed to be sources for water for agriculture.

 

Hi, sorry to bring up an old thread, but didn't want to start a new one since there is already a thread on Wishing Wells. I threw a coin in mine and got a Fireworks, but after that neither me nor my friends could throw anymore coins inside. It just said "The wishing well doesn't seem to be doing anything." Is it bugged or is there a cooldown timer for making wishes? Any help will be appreciated, thanks. *throws a coin into well*

 

It's possible that it's either a build up thing, a timer thing, or a random thing
But I think it's an unknown thing

There's a timeout. AFAIK, there are four possibilities when you double click:

1. You get a window asking if you want to throw a coin in. You click yes and you get an item.
2. You get a window asking if you want to throw a coin in. You click yes and you get nothing but a message saying it's not doing anything (wear the water cloak to get a much better chance).
3. You get a window asking if you want to throw a coin in. You say no.
4. You don't get the window asking if you want to throw in a coin. Instead, you just get the message that it's not doing anything. This is because you recently got something and now you must wait (a week, I believe).

 

Ah! Okay, I got a Fireworks, so I guess it is number 4 (have to wait a week). Thanks @Lord Barugon .

 

I always seem to get fireworks too.

 

Is anyone able to place their wishing well in their basement? Wanted to try to make a firework factory in my row lot basement, but doesn't seem possible.

 

Does the wishing well give water for planing as well?
