Wood Strips...what are they for

Just did some recipe trades with a guildmate and he gave me wood strips. Not bindings but strips...yet we have no idea what they are used for. Anyone have a clue. I looked through wiki and even googled it and no reference to what they are used for.

You mean scraps? wood scraps can be used along with wood to make timbers. They can also be used to make pulp which is used in books and scrolls.

No its not bindings...its called strips. I have the binding recipes and i know scraps as i use them to make scrolls. This is something totally different and havent yet found a use for it. They are on wiki but dont state what they are used for. LOL
Maybe a dev will see this post and can elaborate on it. I am thinking its an older recipe that is no longer useful. If so then they need to take it out of the game so as folks dont waste money on a useless recipe.

 

Ok...just took a shot and found that strips used to be used for baskets....but now the recipe calls for bindings. So i guess it is an obsolete recipe that isnt usable. Until we find out for sure i would suggest not buying the recipes and wasting resources for it

 

Well then it looks like a rare item and sometimes people like collecting these items. So you might want to hold on to it.

 

Sounds to me like some obsolete recipe not used anymore...
