Anyone know where to get them?

[edit] Never mind. Found them on the housing decorations merchant in Ardoris. :)

Yes, they look good, but I think they are too expensive to learn/make.

Each number 0-9 is a separate recipe that costs 250g each. Each recipe is exactly the same, except that each one requires a different "number symbol"... which by the way costs another 50g each! That doesn't even include the cost for the 3 creosote and 2 wooden boards (really it takes 2 boards to make 1 number?).

Overall, for such a small, simple deco object, I think it costs way too much to make them.

IMO, there should be only 1 recipe to buy/learn, and the output should be dependent upon the symbol that you use to make it. Either that, or make the recipes discoverable/re-teachable (they are currently Teachable though at least) so that we don't have to spend 2500 gold for basically 1 recipe.

We should be thankful these were not incorporated into loot drops rather than being available on vendors. They do look good.

If you want to do hotel style numbering (that is, the first digit is the floor number and the second digit is the room number) then you'll need 8 x #1, 8 x #2, 8 x #3, 3 x #4, 3 x #5 and 90 boards.

Can't you almost build a house with 90 boards?

not hardly. a quick flip through the craftable houses on sotawiki says the one with the lowest wood requirement is 100 timbers.

The new recipe is much better. The recipe makes the whole set, 0 - 9, using 10 boards and 3 creosote (no patterns). Doing the hotel style numbering above means making 8 sets, for a total of 80 boards and 24 creosote (not including the creosote used for making the boards).

Oh, so now the one recipe makes a set of 0-9 numbers?

I guess economically this is much better because even if you only need a couple numbers, this is much cheaper than doing it the original way.

I think I still would have preferred if it was one recipe and the added "symbol" ingredient would determine the finished product... but I am happy that it's much better than the original design.

I await the stacks of unused and unloved 8s for sale on some random vendor.

At least the 9 can hopefully be flipped over to become a 6. Then it can hide from those dangerous 7s! (Did you hear what happened to 9?)

    Seven ate nine!

True, you may be able to flip a 6 to make a 9 (or vice versa) but I think the tooltip may still show the actual number regardless of how it's positioned on the wall.
