    Actually, most meteors are very small and do burn up in the mesosphere. This is why we don't all stay in doors or go into bunkers when the earth passes though the debris that cause the leonids, perseids, geminids, ect..

    That being said, it would be cool if we got some obsidian elementals running around as a result of a close meteor strike. That would be magic :)

    I know about meteors, I'm a fan of space travel and astronomy for a long time... I was just joking because of their size...

    last time we seen such a huge meteor was in russia, and the shock wave of it exploding in the air was enough to shatter most windows in a whole city... I'm sure quite a few people ran for cover then :p

    yeah, Novia must have an extra dense atmosphere, because it is going to have to burn that enormous red and black object down to something that won't wipe out all life and only cause a shard fall in a relatively small area. Unless the object is slowing down on its own.... !?!?!?
