I, like many other Tamers, eagerly await the arrival of the Wyvern. Personally I am happy to wait as long as it takes to get it right.
As a Tamer you have to learn to be patient, raising your skill takes a lot of time (hours) and XP (in the millions) just as with all skills, but for me most of this time is a solo thing, just me learning and working the craft I have chosen.
Nobody wants to sit around watching you tame for 4 hours to gain one point.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the challenge of being a tamer and have played the same character, in name and profession, in UO for many years.

I agree 100% with this statement as a high level pet it should behave this way.
It was the same in UO you could tame a CU Sidhe at 101.1 taming but your control at that level was not great and they would ignore your commands at times,
so you needed to raise your taming and associated skills to make sure you could control them well.

Having a pet this size will cause lots of problems not only for tamers but anyone else nearby, It is hard enough now targeting the corpse of what ever you have killed to skin it with your big bear or what ever standing over the top of it.
In dungeons etc it will be impossible to see anything like doors chest etc and if there are two or three pets in a group.
So seeing as all other pets have been made smaller once tamed why not continue that way. It makes no difference to me how big the pet is, it matters what it can do.

I would love a pet Squirrel with 2K HP and big damage to match. :p
The Wyvern as shown is way to big to take into mines etc.

In UO if you were not a tamer you could not own the high level pets.
In Shroud you can summon them with 0 points in taming and high level summoning skill.

Not sure how I feel about this, as it seems that having high taming skill adds nothing to a summoned pets abilities.
It simply allows you to tame them in the first place, I feel it should make a difference to the summoned pets abilities either strength or damage or both.

No.. though id love rare skinned versions like only spawn one time a day in a cpl diffrent areas. The pattern system great as it is needs to stay away from pets.

I agree, but not so big that we can't use it inside places.

The best thing in UO taming is a single tamer can tame everything. NO groups just to tame one creature.

I mean if I had my preference, they wouldn't be tamable at all. I just believe something that is supposed to be that powerful wouldn't succumb to tame. I didn't like it in UO either. It is what it is though.

I'm really excited about this. Not that I'll ever be able to have a Wyvern of my own. Back in UO days, REAL early, you could have someone tame a dragon for you and give/sell it to you. So even without taming skills, I had my sweet Amber by my side protecting me from all kinds of terrible creatures. Then it was changed so that if you didn't have high taming skills, you couldn't have one. It saddened me. But I'm happy for those who will be sporting these pets soon!

The reason I quoted this picture is I just had to say: love the photobomb from the automaton. *laughs*

Just please dont make it tiny and make tamers have to go beyond 120 for this bad boy. Not everyone should be able to get this easily.

As long as one tamer can tame it, everyone can easily use it, because the lvl to call beasts is max 79 at the moment. So you will see it everywhere soon.

They will most likely bump this one up to 120. I mean to be able to summon a beast like this, I agree.

I m sure it will change.

Don't think so because the creedo is, everything should be available (100%) with skill 80, except taming.

I agree. It should be 120 summoning AND 100 Taming Specialization! :)

    I am there already. :)

For stronger pets 120 summoning makes sense.

Maybe they'll shrink it down when tamed like the phoenix.
