XP for exploration (rediscovering scenes)?

With the new Teleport to Zone scroll, you now have to rediscover scenes to be able to teleport to them. This would have been a great opportunity to reward you for exploration with XP and perhaps gold. There's already a reward for visiting town criers, but that's only for towns. This should complement that and not replace it.

Thoughts on amount of XP or gold?

 

what i would like is to be able to explore all the zones......not town/pots and get points for every zone and get a special title. Early backers got the Cartographer title. But i think if you actually go into zones and discover them some rewards for it would be good

 

I think exploration titles would be great too and perhaps one day they'll fix/enhance the achievements again. But in this case, I think some XP and gold would be great, as exploration currently has no integration with the risk/reward system.

For example:
New location (scene) discovery = 10,000 XP + 1000 gold
New sub-scene location (compass marker) discovery = 1,000 XP + 100 gold
Perhaps even some really difficult to reach locations or easter eggs or whatever might reward more?
And some bonus for 100% discovery of all compass markers in a scene?

This would be very good (also for new players) to see, where we've been before and it would be a great goal to discover the map zones (including XP!)

 

Even in some scenes that have no quests currently inside or side quest things there are always the "landmark" locations. Lately i have noticed that its starting to pick up on those in scenes. Elf camps, Ruins and such. So if you hit one of those you can get xp for them as well.
