I know it's not filtering, but if you click on the column title then it will sort that column. Click the the same column title again and it will reverse the order.

 

I'm aware of this, and it doesn't solve my problem.

What I want is the ability to see my items in towns where I might have access to multiple vendors. This is less convenient because I still have to find myself (I'm sure there's something philosophical here) then it's still got an order that, within that grouping, is non-deterministic (at least as far as I can tell). At the very least I'd need to be able to sort by multiple columns (which would be nice, too).

 

you could use the "locate player vendor items" window instead, which can be sorted by town? maybe @DavidDC can add a vendor name column to it.
