Please make Dash and Sprint usable on the overworld

As it is, it's really unfair to those that don't have a Fleet Flute. Since you limited movement speed buffs to only two, I don't see how this is a problem now.

 

It seems counter-intuitive to me for them to have restricted movement speed on the overworld in the first place. The best thing about having the overworld is that you can get around faster.

I'm sure restricting move speed was intended for realism and to give mounts/encumberment more of a purpose, but until then I'd just prefer 10x faster overworld speed without even needing to dash or sprint.

 

There are a number of things that should be available on the overworld (dash for instance) that aren't.
You can't do combat on the overworld, so why can't you do most anything you want there ????????

Also enable jump on the overworld if it isn't already. I need to be able to jump repeatedly everywhere I go in every game I play.

Really? Overworld running is so fast now that it's sometimes difficult to stay on the path... without coconuts...

 

Sprint can't be cast on the overworld, you have to cast it in-scene (and lose a bit of its duration) before exiting to the overworld. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems Dash would be under the same constraint.

Coconuts don't do anything... they haven't for a couple of releases now.

Isn't that like saying raise the speed limit because it isn't fair that doesn't have a Corvette? Life isn't fair. There are plenty of fleet flutes on vendors you can purchase. So many in fact, the price is about half what they used to be. If you don't like running slow, just teleport to someone closer to where you are wanting to go.

 

No, I prefer they reserve overworld map speed for the Mounts we will get some day. I t will make having one USEFUL..... since the regular zones are really too small to make using them worth it....

Actually, overworld travel *is* fast travel even in its current state.

You need to factor in the scale of the overworld. Then you will realize that your avatar is really travelling great distances very quickly on the overworld.

Everyone asking for even faster overworld travel is not appreciating the scale.

 

5x Sprint, 5x dash, exit to overworld, equip coconuts.

You will get where you're going before the buffs wear off

 

I just drink a potion of Wolf Speed before entering the world map, and zip off to where I need to go in minutes...

 

...that do nothing but make you look like a cast member in MP The Holy Grail...
