The "Candle in bulb base", "Tabletop Candelabra" and "Pewter Cup" (value 0) can be salvaged at the blacksmithing station - yet the Candle Chandelier, Altar Chandelier, Inkwell, Pewter Bowl (value 0) can´t. If something contains metal then it should be able to be broken and molten down. I can salvage Buckets at the Carpentry station - but "Bucket of water" not. Now I thought, if I USE the bucket of water it will spill out the content over my characters head and then be an empty bucket that I can salvage - but no, when using a bucket of water (of 16 I had) results in still having buckets of water (16)... Either buckets have several charges of water or there is something wrong here. Despite having it explicitely in their description that they are able to be salvaged on a carpentry station those are not salvageable: Ceramic Cup (value 0) Ceramit Mug (value 0) Tall Ceramic Vase (value 0) Torches - a wooden stick with oil, yet can´t be broken down to Wood Scrap at the carpentry station?
Many items were set to be salvaged, but not all of them got finished. So that’s all we have for now. Eventually, they will hopefully be salvageable.
o.k. but do you know how to empty a bucket of water so that I could salvage the dozen I have as buckets?
So by filling a bucket with water at a well I effectively have made it unsalvageable and unemptyable with the exception of Destruction by Agriculture...?
“Using” a well gives you a bucket of water. You don’t actually fill a bucket that is in your inventory.
No, really? Then that makes it far more important to be able to salvage "Buckets of water" - just consider the sheer unending amount of trees that could be saved by using the buckets for building. Houses, ships, the babylonian tower, chinese wall or the Horse of Troja! Built without a single tree used, with the buckets created by the wells of Novia. Seriously I could understand that if they can´t "fill" existing buckets in the inventory that they would give a "Bucket of Water" and in turn destroy a "Bucket" in the inventory - but giving out buckets and water every time someone uses the well... The water in Novia certainly contains a huge percentage of wood...
I know those ceramic items and most candle items can be salvaged at the blacksmthing station. If they say "carpentry" then that is likely a typo. And, salvaging items is probably the best way to build your crafting skills.
FYI, when you get put on fire by those naughty mages or lava, you can put the fire out by using a bucket of water. You can also use those buckets of water from your utility bar while in combat so they don't take up a combat bar slot.
Maybe, but I like to stick with the classics. Plus with respawn, I doubt anywhere else is actually all that much better.
