Over the last couple of months, I've really tried to find some way, using ranged as my damage type, to get as close to attenuation as possible solo. Many other builds are able to easily attenuate solo even without double XP. Unfortunately, I've come to realize that it's impossible for me and I'm destined to be mediocre¹. What's worse is that XP groups seem to have fallen off the edge of the earth. Without them, advancement is painfully slow. I think I'm just going to double down on using all indestructible gear and be extra mediocre. 1. I can't speak for others but I generally play computer games in order to feel like the hero, not the average nobody.
I can att as a pure archer in less than 30 minutes solo, no 2x XP. I'm not logging in too often nowadays as the game is vastly dead, but if you spot me online we can chat, exchange experiences and I can bring you with me so we share the XP Best Regards, Ulric Hildegard
yeah, I call Archer hard mode and Tamer easy-mode. If you only want to gain XP, switch to tamer or mage. Those Death Mages are doing some serious damage. I like being an archer, but it does keep me from going to places that SHOULD be okay for my adv level. Yellow baddies usually mean red for archers, tier 10 greens are okay though.
It turns out that the wicked caster gems have no effect on skill charge time (even though @Chris had said many times that charge time is solely based on cast time), so I'm super bummed about that.
Next "skill" you need to unlock to do serious DPS is dynamic deck stacking. I do it in the most trivial way: when 2 of the same glyph show up, I hold the first number and tap the second one to combine (stack). But just spamming dynamic unstacked glyphs will do better than charging especially with the wicked caster gems on. Oh and btw congrats on that grind, you're doing it very fast!
Yeah, I'm trying to think of how I can use an unlocked deck. I can see how those gems would be important for Savage Sonata. Sieges are pretty easy for me. Got two wicked caster gems and two rapid fire gems so far.
Regular 1-0 for glyphs. 1 - 4: unlocked mix of Rapid Fire, Multishot and Aimed Shot. I'm stacking these when all slots get busy so I don't waste new draws. I usually cast single glyphs or 2-3 stacks. I seldom cast a 4 or 5-stack. 5: locked Gust so I can charge a 6-stack out of it. 6: locked Fireflies because crit dmg. I use to charge it when 1x1 against tough mobs. 7 & 8: Rhapsody of Recovery: I only cast it at 5 stacks. Great for helping with focus spent. 9 & 0: Savage Sonata: I only cast it at 5 stacks, it'll give you a nice DPS boost and it's most useful to cast while navigating from one pack of mobs to the next.
Just a quick FYI, when you get fireflies to 150 it maxes out its benefit (-100%) so charging doesn't increase its power anymore. So if you have it below 150 just figure out how many charges it takes to get to -100% & don't charge it past that amount. Otherwise you're just wasting time.
140 Fireflies charged to 5: However, for boss fights it's more about the duration than the debuff power.
It's capped at -100% on mobs. Unless it just recently changed. And duration doesn't matter much if it's locked, you can just recast easily once you have it at 150.
I have checked before on enemies. I'll check again. [edit] I just tried on an Ebon Cultists Fighter and got the same -114%.
