Question: Will in game be moderated like these forums?

I was just wondering if in game will allow more freedom of speech and in the battlefield taunting of other players. If others do not like it they can use the ignore feature and not see the speech (I think) So clarity would be in order if we have to play mr nice guy on the battlefield as we do on the forums here. Not trying to start a flame war just wanting some answers on how pvp will be in the future.

 

I think there is a profanity filter as well.

So long as you're not griefing folks. I can't imagine devs watching live streams of chat looking to jump on someone for talking smack.

It is important to know the exact definition of griefing, as pvp will entail attacking each other and probably expletives.

 

Killing someone without mercy on the battlefield and then telling them they should have ran - Not Griefing.

You and 3 other people using Root to keep the person from being able to fight, but not killing him, just keeping him stationary and unable to take actions for a extended period of time while calling him names - Griefing.

It's kinda going to have to be decided on a case by case basis. You can act like a @$$ in game if that's the way you invision your character being. But being rude just because you've had a bad day at work and feeling like making someone else's life miserable.....Not acceptable here. (Unless you and the other person are from New York, then it's perfectly acceptable....)

Also, if your name your Avatar Noober and say Heya in game at least 27 times. You are griefing....

 

Well if he is rude you CAN ignore his speech. You cant ignore rooting but that should have a decrease in duration after each cast. Get away or die but come back with friends ☺

That is up for Portalarium to define.. but I think you're smart enough to figure it out for yourself. General smack during a fight is one thing.. following someone around with intent to make their experience a miserable one is another.

Well if you have a bounty on your head people are going to follow you around. Bounties can be placed on anyone by anyone I think. But besides that you can block ignore people also as a measure that portalarium installed in the game.

You can taunt people in character, but I think there is a line to be drawn along lines of racism, sexual harassment, etc. that should be obvious.

 

yes but you can still ignore words. The only thing I believe the devs need to do is control exploits. The rest has tools in game to handle. People just need to use them.

 

It almost sounds to me like you are one who wants to "grief" and looking for a nod from the Devs that it is ok?
I like PvP, what I hate is guys who act like punks following you around and gloating if they beat you or rooting you and then setting there cussing you out just to be a douche. Taunting is one thing, but just being a jerk to be a jerk because you pixel whoop someone is silly I too would like to know what the stance is gonna be on this. If PvP is nothing more than a bunch of immature adults running around trying to ruin people's day. I will just avoid it.

 

I think we have to treat a very fine line here. I say griefing and scamming should be allowed as long as no know exploits and no hacks are used. I dont want a sanitized game, an optional profanity filter should be enough to cover Portalariums bases.

If you want to experience the very best in some people you have to allow the very worst too.
