    Yes comes back as a Trophy, like you get the wolf head trophy when killing the Alpha wolf in one of the Outskirts. So yes

    that doesn't make any sense. he's trying to collect a lot of them, why would he give the player one back? the alpha wolf makes sense: the farmer just wants to see the head as proof, not actually take it to have.
