Taming specialization does not improve anough glyphs to make it worth while to choose taming special

I tested this for several hours, so I actually did some of this test before patch 636 was out.

I found that the pet hit points go up every time the taming specialization goes up. I tested this for obsidian wolf, obsidian bear, ferocious red, darkstarr corpion. (And a couple of tests on grand boar and large arctic wolf)
The pet seems to fight better, but I cannot tell if the combat training or obedience have increased. I can tell for sure that the concentration and refresh do not improve as the level of specialization goes up.

I think the summon time "refresh" and the focus drain "concentration" should also be improved a good amount as you level taming specialization up. At least a factor of 2 at GM.


In the following table I did not write down the focus drain for every row, but each beast's focus drain remained the same regardless of the taming specialization level. Also, the concentration refresh time remained the same for all attempts regardless of the taming specialization level.
