Thank you Lord British for this lovely initiative. I'm eager to be able to play this game since it looks promising.

I do like the new rewards for the different tiers and the stretch goals. I do hope a lot of the suggestions made in this thread: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?topic=features-youd-like-to-see-in-shroud-of-the-avatar-sticky will make it to the game.

Congratulations and thanks again Mr. Garriott! As a suggestion, perhaps it would drive the Kickstarter campaign a bit more if you offered something to say... the first 15k or 20k pledgers! Nothing will drive donars like getting firsties or recognition for being in on the ground floor! There might be a rush to get in there before the lock!

Thank you for bringing Ultima into my life so long ago, and even though it is named under EA Ultima is always you whether it is UO or any of the older ones. You have me more excited than I have been ANY other game, and this is also the first and only game I have ever contributed to in this way.

You have brought so many special things into my life, especially online. I have had 2 weddings, met numerous friends who I hold dear, and even got to be a leader of a guild. So thank you for a fresh spin on games, where it isnt simply about gaining levels, but about the player. No game will ever be Ultima.

I just want to say to continue to make the game as you see fit. I like the multiplayer options, dual scale map, player freedom, etc. as you have explained it. I trust you have a great concept in the works here.

Thank you Lord British for making me feel like I am 12 again looking forward to a new Ultima

No other SP RPG lived up to the standard Ultima VII (incl. Serpent Isle) set and no other MMO lived up to the standard UO set. It's sad that those pinnacles of those genres are from the 90s. It's time the master comes back and shows them how it's done (well and your team of course!)

Also please make the 2 million stretch goal this:

"We change the OPO version of the game into a fully fletched MMORPG!"

This would make thousands of your fans extremely happy.

 

Every RPG / MMO I've ever played I still compare to the early days of UO. I still tell stories of UO and it's the only game I've ever missed when I quit playing. Lord British coming back to his roots is like a dream come true.
Make this thing great like I know you can!

I'm looking for a game with more depth and a more immersive world than Ultima 7, coop mode and online mode like Ultima online, and much more. I think I can rely on Portalarium and you, Lord British, to tend to this goal.

So, I hope that is just the beginning.

Your success could be a great lesson for publishers... and a new era in RPG video games. This kind of games is in dire need in my opinion.

 

If it will be a third or forth as good as U7 I would be really happy. You know there are really big footsteps to be filled...

Together with us it should be possible to reach that goal!

 

Skyrim was fun to play, had great graphics, but it's storyline just wasn't 'epic'. It lacked that deep, thought out feel. I'm confident that SOTA will deliver in that respect, and I can't wait to see what other surprises are in store for the player!
