I do hope they scale the combat accordingly for offline mode, especially given that the companions are brain dead and one summoned creature isn't going to cut it. Or, offer more NPCs in the scene that can assist.

 

I don't necessarily agree. Yes, if there is a disconnect by a party member DURING the one hour the portal is open, then by all means, they should be let back in. I did see a party member get booted, but they came back in. I did not ask, but I imagined they just teleported back in to a friend on their list that was with us.

However, if someone disconnects after the one hour the portal is open, then just like everyone else, they cannot and should not be allowed back in.

me i couldn't get past the skelitons they kept respawning it's helpful if you have large friends list then you can just port in when it opens

 

@Magnus Zarwaddim something was wrong this last monday or tuesday and now the portal is off by a day (maybe due to the updates?)

Random (bad) idea of the day: What if the field where the gate appears had a 'dial-home-device' that required entering the right series of constellation images, or hieroglyphs, to get the gate to open on off cycle hours?

Sorry, Stargate Origins had me distracted....

 

It occurs to me- the Vale opens once a month. Each month has an associated constellation- the constellations revolve on a yearly cycle, with one hitting the "top" (or due north) of the cycle each month.) It would be really cool if the opening time stays the same, but the location changes based on which constellation is dominant. Maybe near that consteallation/virtue's city. @Lord British

 

They said something about having it move around in the telethon.

 

For me it was easy... 8:00PM Monday EST, plus 28 hours, equals 12:00AM EST Wednesday. Tuesday is skipped.

 

Actually it skips the same day every week, and its always the same time for the day of a week

So far, if it's just a simple every 28 hours, which divides evenly into a week, for six per Earth week. We shall eventually find out if it's more complicated than that.

I added a quick table to the sotawiki page yesterday with this info. Note that NBT is tied to US Daylight Saving Time, so it should soon be off by an hour on that. People not in the US should probably work from the UTC time.

 

Seems like happened only the last week. Confirmed by devs the portal works every 28h, for all days of the wekk (you skips wednesday).

Yesterday sunday 7pm NBT, so next sunday 11pm. Add +4 every day, that's simple.

Hope the server works correctly the no more skipped days.

 

Showed up 5/17/18, Wednesday 05:00 UTC; Thursday 0:00 CDT/CST, no portal. Waited till the next hour in case of DLS, no portal. Has there been any new information on the cycles?
