Hey, I expected to be able to repair a belt using either a repair kit or coto at the needlepoint station but it's a no go. Are they not repairable ?

Belt are mostly artifact, you need an essence

Essence, gathered from salvaging artifacts, can be used to repair other artifacts

Okay, I have an essence, but it still won't let me repair it. Does it have to be done at alchemy station or something ?

Have you tried dragging on the belt directly? Otherwise maybe a Tailoring station

Ah, that's how you do it, not at a tailoring station. That's a little weird and unexpected. Okay thanks !

In reference to artifact repair although this works for all items to my knowledge. You can use Major Repair and a gold coto to full repair the item to its maximum listed durability.

Formal repair of belts is actually done at the blacksmithing station. Or at least was before the ancient essences were a thing.

Okay. So I can just use a CoTo. But I can't use a blacksmithing kit.

Ancient Essence for basic repairs and CotOs for major repairs. Ancient Essence is basically Artifact Repair Kit.

Has to be a Gold COTO, iirc, for Artifacts; this adds Max Dur back to the item, as well as repairs it. Caveat; Using a Gold COTO on an artifact is considered a Major Repair, and the more you do these the more COTOs it will cost to get the item back to it's Max Dur.
