Speaking to the Oracle daily gives you 500 gold. With that you basically have a free (but not tax free) lot deed with the one you get for free finishing Chapter 1.

Pay the 250 daily tax and then place the remaining 250 into the tax credit.

COTO prices in game have been on the rise for quite some time. Today I've seen player vendors BUYING them for 7400 a COTO.

Interesting. Are these numbers crunched from the Elasticsearch backend that Chris mentioned a couple of streams ago?

 

There is a system in place by that website (run by shawn, I believe) that allows players to pull receipt data from their sales and upload them to the site. It is voluntary, but the database is growing steadily. It's not perfect, but can give you a pretty solid idea of how the community as a whole values things in game.

 

I think the selling of rares is actually brilliant, as long as the barrier to entry isn't too high to actually start acquiring them. $100 is ~€123 is $140, basically, or up to 40 hours is you're fine with POT only.

€120 is not bad value if you divide by hours but it equals the price of two AAA games.
