Nope. Decay is gone but so are any experience points lost to it.

We need a Official Answer to this before I touch this Book. They have a track record of missing information and bad wording on things in game. We need to know for sure weather we get all xp back or not. Also if it doesn't why doesn't it. That would just be plain dumb...

You are supposed to get the experience back that was into skills.. Syee1324 - but will NOT get any experience that you lost from decay.

Greetings all. This is from the R61 notes by DarkStarr

So according to this when you use the book all exp is returned to pool. It does seem to state that you need 1 book for every tree you want to reset. I thought it was going to be a full Re-spec with 1 book.As for recovering Decay Exp, I would guess it returns current exp you have and no retro losses.

    No it does not.

    No it should not.

It calculates of the skills and their levels.

There is no way to know what was lost from decay.

Might want to wait until there is more info on how to use it.. I went ahead and tested it on a skill tree and it seemed to have credited me with the xp to all but base level in that tree ... An example the tree still had 20 at the top and next tier 40 ect the main tree setup for have to have X ext to get to the next tree 20 / 40 /80 seems to block the book from refunding all....

Maybe all skills in tree have to be set to unlearn first, no idea there.. Just a heads up

More in game instruction is needed, not just on the forums. Some gamers do not spend a lot of time on the forums researching these things and have to be well explained ingame or it can be viewed as very buggy.

Same with quests if there are multiple steps within a quest the guest should not allow you to progress further. I have gone to the end of quests only to find out something was missed and have no idea what. Quests with multiple steps should be in a check off system that will not allow advancement until all steps are completed.

Example -- saved sir Patrick and went to the next npc to tell him I had done so as the quest denoted. Went to tell him and he was like sniffin glue or something did not even know who sir Patrick was. Said screw it and went fishing... LOL

What I don't understand is, Why did you guys limit this and make it a one time thing ? I'm not interested in switching up my character now, but I might be in the future. I also might want to sell it for a pretty penny if it wasn't limited.

Since there is a finite supply of them, why the limitations and rush ?

...but it isn't a true respec right? You get all the experience you invested but still have to do the work in the new skills. It might go up 'crazy fast' but if I have say 3 skills GM in Fire, how long will it take to 'move' and have 3 skills GM in death?

Yeah. that's true. It's a de-spec. But with obsidian potions and pool of crazy amount of XP, you can gain levels super fast.

This is probably safety to ensure people aren't abusing it by constantly changing builds left and right, I assume.

The ones sold for Cotos work the exact same way, so not following you on that. How does it being sold for cotos affect whether it's a true "respec" vs "despec" ?

I was talking about why they made the design decision to make you relearn it vs just reallocating points at any time.
