You can drag repair kits onto your equipment right now to field repair. Is that what you are going for?

Make sure that you have the right repair kit type. If it is an artifact you need an ancient essence. Halberds, axes, and maces are carpentry repair as another example.

Honestly I find the whole process very cumbersome. I agree you should double click the repair kit and the UI should offer a list of repairable items. Repairing a tool requires some finesse.

IMO gear should get used up and disappear it's too easy to make gear last forever. No repair kits would give a reason to craft gear for other than yourself.

How do you make it last forever? I'd sure like to make my bow last forever.

I actually agree. I've been using the same halberd for months now.

@Barugon I make sure I get the maintenance buff every 3 days in Ely mines and I use the preservation obsidian potion all the time. And i try not to let my stuff go below 3-5 durability if it is an item i want to keep. On another note though that might not be able to do for some because of time and cost but i have the time making it easy for me.

In my opinion, if you're working that hard and that meticulously, perhaps you deserve long lasting gear.:D

I routinely retire gear. It's not a policy of mine, but after a major repair and the max durability again reaches 20, it goes on the wall.

None of my equipment lasts more than a month without a major repair. I don't do 3-day blessings except when invited by friends, so that's a factor, and my equipment preservation skills are still in the 80s (priorities), but I think equipment decay is reasonably well balanced as it is. (All of this said from an adventurer's perspective rather than a blacksmith's.)

I personally felt that I was spending all my time grinding to get the stuff I needed just to make my next piece of gear, so I stopped and now I just use indestructible gear. My only regret is that I can't make use of that Scepter of Dread.

maybe this is done on purpose
so that they would not torture themselves and simply buy a new pick or ax

I will achieve a ban in the lineage and will play this game
because ncsoft can't hear me they are stupid and they kill the game, my favorite game
maybe my comments here will be helpful

probably it’s too complicated for them and their cool colleges didn’t give them the right education to understand what the economy needs to support in an online game to play it, the more expensive the game things the more online it’s just so you just need to ban bots

After all, L2 was made by Richard, I hope that over the years of practice he understood how to make a successful mmo and seeing your trade section, I am happy and show all my friends
because our administration 4game tells everyone that rmt is bad and shameful to trade in gaming things
    arrange a witch hunt
I'm tired of screaming that this is an online game, it was created for RMT and they laugh with me

Bring up your character sheet and inventory, click on the "consumables" tab, then drag the repair kit to the item on your character sheet.

But it is a problem when you have a lot of items and want to repair something you aren't wearing. The inventory doesn't auto-scroll when the item isn't visible at the same time as the repair kit. You can select the "Equipment" tab, but then the repair kits won't show. Sometimes you can type the right letter into the name filter to show both the repair kit and equipment at the same time.

And you can always do the repair at a crafting table. Drag one or more repair kits to the craft table inventory, then the item to repair, and click the repair button.
