Why were the "regular" stat potions nerfed? [not]

You can’t use all three potions. They share a channel. Only one active at a time.

 

They drop in K’rul. I’ve gotten several on the grenadiers near the Alpha Monkey wave battle room.

 

You sure can use all three. You probably can't use say a potion of deftness along with an aether potion of deftness.

 

The new magic Mastery potions share a channel- you can only use one of those at a time. You can use all teh stat pots. No idea if they stack withe the non-aether ones, though. Still trying to get stupid Goruk to drop the recipe. He's being stingy.

 

Apparently the Potion of Deftness, Aether recipies are a dime a dozen. I just got three more.

 

Well, Goruk might drop'em okay, but he takes me forever to kill, and he only respawns every ten minutes. So it's hard to say. I got the Sun and Fire Mastery first time each, though.

 

There's a part of me that was really hoping this wouldn't be worth it.

 

Who and where is Goruk?

 

Goruk Mansmasher, biggest troll there is in Ruined Keep. This is a big boss battle with Satyr Mages and Archers joined in the mix. Even for the strongest players, Goruk is at 1-2 hits of killing you, so you need to make sure you avoid all his attacks all while dealing with the satyrs.

He is at the top out the Keep, past a multitude of other trolls and Satyrs.

 

He's a rough fight. I mean, he's a troll, and trolls have tells, so it's really no different than Torc or the troll twins, just with 22k health. It's mostly all the other jerks ganging up on you. If you can take out a bunch of them without Goruk noticing , that helps.

Anyway, gave up on him for tonight. Spent about 2 hours in Tartarus, and finally got the Aether Acumen to drop. So I think it's not a super common drop, but that wasn't two bad. Goruk just sucks because I can only get him maybe 4-5 times an hour.Probably took me 50ish satyr mages to get the Acumen recipe.

 

They don't.

 

Anyone get the theurgy mastery potion recipe yet?

 

Jemma Star said they got it in Universal chat.

 

I was going to ask what the stats of the potion are but then I remembered that it's tied to adventurer level and air specialization level.... It would still be interesting to see.

 

It's probably the same formula for all the potions; shouldn't be too hard to find someone who has a potion and the spec to go along with it.

 

Coswald with 140s in fire and AL said he got around 8.6% but when he took the potion it because stronger, somewhere around 9% increased mastery.

 

Aye, since they're based off mastery level and also themselves add mastery, they're stronger when applied than they look at first. At AL 144 with LvL 132 (+43.6%) Elixir Receptive and LvL 140 Fire Spec (+175% Mastery) the potion is labeled as +8.7% Mastery when I am not using it, and +9.1% Mastery when I am using it.

There's some rounding going on in that number so I'll hop on QA and drop my Elixir Receptive to LvL 0 to get the stats without that variable, and see about either taking a second magic spec or modifying my current fire spec to work out the actual formula.

Or if we ask nicely, perhaps a Dev will tell us?

No, I've gotten many of those in The Outlaws' Run.

 

I found a vendor with potions of air mage mastery on it. It says that it increases air mastery by 6.9%. My air specialization is 120 and it says 150% air mastery; will the potion increase that to 156.9%? Is that really all you get from the potion?
