[Fix Needs Testing 71115] Some Tartarus Elf chests are empty

    The ten chests in the Elf barracks in Tartarus are not respawning/refilling - you can only open them once per visit, unlike the Boss Elf's chest in the chamber beyond, which is respawning normally.

    @TigerBlue , this behavior is probably correct. This is because treasure chests do not restock unless they are "special." Below are some examples of when a treasure chest is considered special.
    • When a quest leads you to a treasure chest in a scene that you share with other people, that chest needs to restock periodically.
    • When a chest is a reward for participating in a wave battle that can be repeated without leaving the scene, that chest needs to restock.
    • When a chest is a reward for defeating a notable enemy that respawns, that chest needs to restock.
    • When a chest is part of a puzzle that you can solve repeatedly without resetting the scene., that chest needs to restock.
    Also, many treasure chests in a scene won't be stocked when you first enter a scene. You might have to wait a few seconds to a minute for the chest to stock for the first time.

    With the above reference in mind, if you find a treasure chest that you think should restock, please make sure to add "/loc" coordinates with your bug report to help us quickly review that specific chest.

    Sannio, the chests always used to restock/respawn, until a few months ago when this stopped happening - that is why i posted the bug.

    @TigerBlue , if you could reply back to this message with the specific "/loc" coordinates, I'll take a look into those chests. If it seems reasonable, I'll set them to periodically auto-restock.

    I checked the barracks and saw that the chests here do not restock, and this is correct behavior for these types of "common" chests.

    However, I saw that some of these chests might not have any contents at all, which I'm not a fan of, so I changed them so they have at least one item inside.

    Thanks Sannio. All of the chests in this room with items in them used to respawn/restock, but not the empty ones - so that's great, if these will have items in them now. Shame about the restocking though, because you do have to beat a lot of Elves before you can open them.

    there has not been a patch since he said he'd change them (and this change will wait for next release, regardless of any patches before that).
