Currently we have several beautiful models of mills in the game, both wind- and watermills.

However those mills are mills only from their outer looks - inside they lack the whole milling construction - milling stone, the wooden pipes to funnel the wheat (or other stuff that can be milled to fluor like rye) towards the stone and the container to catch the flour below, as wellas the leather straps to convert the power of wind and water to turning wooden poles that turn the wheel stone.

picture in the middle of the page:

That construction in early postmills would fill the entire room and turn with it in the wind so that the windmill could operate in the changing winds of northern and northwestern europe. Later Tower Mills had only the upper part with the sails movable and thus had more space for construction and workspace below.

If the ingame mills can be filled with some moving parts and two containers or soem sort of crafting table like in agriculture (wheat in, fluor out) we could enrich the gameworld by having an additional trade to play that was essential until indstrial mills with electrical machines took over that could mill amounts in the thousands of the old windmills.

Ingame not every town has a mill - those who lack one should not have unlimited access to fluor and have to travel to the next town with a mill to either turn their own wheat to fluor (for a fee to the miller, say 10% of fluor) or buy the fluor from the miller who then has to seek wheat from local farmers.

    Edit:
Later mills, e.g. those that most americans would recognize

could even be used to pump water up into containers for an early access to flowing water in houses to fill bath tubes and give water toilets water for their work.

Love it! Grow wheat, process it into flour, and bake bread.

Not only that - a mill stone could mean a use for granite blocks to be made to mill stones which is something that had been transported over land to and shipped from my hometown since roman times...
