Imbued jewel of the saltwater angler question.

How do I use this? I'm at the alchemy table and doesn't seem to work with a chest piece, fishing rod is a no go, I try to drag the rod to a table and it keeps asking me if I want to equip it. I didn't bother trying 1 hand weapon or shield because that wouldn't make sense... The jewel is considered a refined gem which is confusing. Why not call it a gem... Anyway a guide to how to go about using jewels like this would be great if one could point me in the direction or explain here. Thank you. I have enchanted stuff before, but stumped on this. The jewel was a drop, reward, or maybe got from salvage?, not something I refined/created.

 

Gems and jewels are different - essentially, gems go on armour and weapons, jewels (which come from salvaging artifacts) on rings and necklaces, but imbued jewels can go on equipment -

ok, so only goes on jewelry. Not sure if I have a recipe for that.

 

Gems also come from salvaging artifacts and there are also crafted imbued jewels.
