all i see from the patch notes: "The Rise: The Orange Pit Dragon is now the Ferocious Orange Pit Dragon" new prey
ok... well... the dragon is pretty, i like the look... otherwise it is the same dragon (or at least feels like the same dragon). no really new challenge as i was hoping i do feel like the juvenile loot has been updated so that is good. hoping maybe they could revisit it now that it is "Ferocious" and drops valuable blueprints to at least have more HP than the juvi's.
The big one was yellow to me but could out heal my attacks and the juveniles red. I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve.
I went there and killed this "ferocious" dragon and it felt just the same as the original one, but worse looking. Different setting but same question: what are they trying to achieve?
As per the release notes This particular dragon is the only one there now that drops the Shaft dungeon bp. So that might make the fight a bit more worthwhile.
I feel that's better; last time I was there I had to deal with both, and the juvenile made the fight take forever, for essentially the same loot as when it was just one. Never went back, wasn't worth it.
The orange pit dragon also spawns in wolf hills encounters and was dropping the Rise Shaft blueprint. Creating a new dragon that is the only one to drop the blueprint was probably the easiest fix.
