I've been gone a long time, Did Elrond close Crafter Town?

Or is it under another name? I remember it being a great place to find high end player made gear.

Coswald has some crazy high end gear in Arlia and Xee in Silverdale. There are a lot more higher end crafters now than there were 4 years ago.

I haven't seen Elrond around for a long time now.

 

Hasn´t he already past through the Grey Havens?

 

Last time I saw him in game was May 6th.

That is because the ingame elven mirrors do not show any reflection.

 

I traded it for some NFT in another game to Cristiano ...didnt had the time to care for it anymore...he sold it to Cici who canibalise it ...

 

Pretty sure it might of been resold . Same location but named something else. Some kind of brewing company owns it now. LOL.

 

People are distraught over the loss of Crafters Town and I understand. But, nobody has stepped forward to trade for it and restore the POT to what everyone so desperately seems to want back. ...just sayin.

 

Any Governor of a Player Owned Town could set up a town like Crafters Town. Is there some limiting factor in which one could not do that?

 

The surviving Crafters Town refugees have moved on to other market towns. Some even managed to find their way to Crossroads Alleys. Then the reset happened and some merchants moved on to other games or didn't have the energy to set up shop again and the economy to a hit.

I think the limiting factor come down to one question. What makes a big market town like Crafters Town used to be and why don't we feel like we have at least one right now?

Getting the merchants, the good, and the customers to all show up in the same place is not exactly easy. If it were easy, the plethora of market towns would be bustling and the economy would be growing like gang busters.

 

How did Elrond achieve this?

 

Because he got rid of all the high polygon objects and set up tables. Walking around without performance hits as you get in Novia Market and Britt Mart was very convenient.
I really hope Unity 2021/2022 happens. Performance hits on modern GPUs are pretty dire.

 

its simple advertizing and building customer relations. Elrond was good at that and power leveling crafters lol. All the big markets have one thing in common, they all pushed hard early days to establish market dominance and marketed the crap out of the towns and offered good spaces. the other large key was location. This one could be the top one too.. having all the large markets near each other and central helped a lot. became a shopping corridor for trade.

 

Brutal at times, unfortunately. Almost entirely (for me) in player towns with a lot of deco all over the place, which is a shame because I love checking out people's towns/houses.

 

Getting to the point its not so much modern GPUs as any GPU not so old its been thrown in the skip
