The First Mount Midir Best Dressed Event.

This is Belladonna Rose reporting live from Mount Midir.
The air is electric with the excitement of the upcoming event.
Many avatars are riding and flying in from all over Novia,
Mistrender and Hidden Vale for this spectacular event.

The announcements are flittering through the airwaves with the
announcement of the event beginning to start. And this intrepid
reporter will be there to give you her commentary.
Upon entering Mount Midir I could not help but notice there was no
carriage service from the entrance to the venue. One would think the
Governor or Event Coordinators could of come with some accomodations
for the guests in a fashionable way.
Oh. The town teleporter is set up for a fast travel to the event.
That is much better I suppose. But it will get folks there none the
less.
When reaching the venue area I was greeted by none other than Ravalox,
Allium and Laney. The Event specialists for today. They were dressed in
fine array of clothing themselves. Very nice. With a formal salutation
I stood off to the side to watch as guests began to arrive.
Many began to show up so I made my way up the path to the venue. It was
elaborately decorated with statues, banners and lights. Spot light on the
staircase was quite impressive. Heading up the staircase the great doors
were wide open and inside I tell you folks it was extravagant. Bleachers
along the sides and and elegant walkway in the middle. The runway for the
contestants. Truly fabulous. The entire inside of the building was done
with great care and detail that was made to impress.
As Laney and Allium continued to give directions to the the guests I took
my seat. I climbed up to the top of the bleachers so I could get a good view
of the entire event.
I was told the participants were noted somewhere but I could not find it
so this reporter will be watching closely. Noticing off to the side there
were room dividers closing off areas at the back of the run way. This must
be where the contestants are going. I was not allowed back in that area even
though I thought to sneak back there.
I watched as certain people made their way back to that area so gleaning a
bit of an idea who the contestants would be. Noticing that Lazarus Long from
NBBN News was a contestant made me chuckle. This should be interesting. If
any of you have seen him at events his detail to his wardrobe is quite impressive.
As many guests arrived and started takig their seats I notice we were being
entertained by a few folks on the walkway. There was Kalina Red and Quasar playing
music and Shoey was dancing along. Dressed like a somewhat ballarina. It was most
amusing.
The time was starting to get close and there were still folks arriving. And the
excitement was building. I am sure those contestants were a bundle of nerves. And
I for one was nervous for them. After a short time Laney announced we would be
starting and that everyone should take their seats. They were instructed to put pets
away and turn off any light iluminating objects. They should of told folks to hold
down on the emotes as well. That was a big distracting. But it is what it is. Folks
gotta emote. Although the room was starting to fill with smoke from all those pipe
smokers. 'cough cough'
And just as I turned my head Laney entered the building and took her seat. I noticed
three elegant chairs at the side of the walkway. And there we have it. The judges for the
event. Ravalox, Allium and Laney. This should be great fun.
And as Master of Ceremonies. Ravalox takes the stage. There is a hush in the crowd at
at first then the crowd applauded him.
Welcome to the Best Dressed in New Britannia Fashion Revue!
Ravalox: This is the first event we are holding in this wonderfully decorated hall. Lets all give a round of applause and a warm welcome to Laney aka Justyn, the Deco Diva! A truly stunning venue!

Ravalox: Today's judges will be three of the Devs from the team: Allium, Laney and myself, Ravalox.

Ravalox: We will be seeing some of New Britannia's most iconic, enigmatic and possibly infamous couture!
Ravalox: Contestants will come on stage when called and walk the runway to the end pause and give us a description of their outfit If they desire, then walk back.
Ravalox: Be sure to cheer for them all!

Ravalox: So grab some popcorn, cookies, or maybe a bowl of Dragon Stew and let's watch the Outlanders strut their stuff.

The first contestant is Trezir Pyle. Lovely as always. Dressed in colors of the fall. Very pretty.

Next up was Lazarus Long.

Ravalox: Laz is Wearing a formal tuxedo dyed in Royal purple with Aether glowing dye trim. Matching Aviator sunglasses and Carapacian Epic Cloth Boots making a splash for any formal occasion. Add or remove a cloak for that extra special occasion. Escorted by his faithful Shiba Inu dog Shasta. Lazarus Long is always a trend setter.

Next up the lovely Lily Byrd

Ravalox: Lily Byrd has collected a stylish yet functional assortment of garments that will be equally welcome on or above the battlefield as easily as a stroll along the shore of a crocodile infested swamp while fishing.

Ravalox: Her fashion is based on the rule of function and beauty equal the epitome of creation, this outfit gives all the reasons in the world to get out and about. Look your best every day.
There was quite a flourish of detail about her outfit. But she was ready to take on anything the world threw at her. And a fine representation of Jade Dragons
indeed.

Next up was Strider Green.

Ravalox: Our benevolent Strider GReen will be Highlighting his outfit with a Chartruse Glowing Dark Shroud this afternoon. To obtain this look, Strider will be wearing the Fancy Armor Rising Chest, along with Leather double leggings and assassins boots. Topped off with his normal Frog Face (Green Dragon MAsk) and Dragon Maplewood cane and wooden pipe.
He was quite dapper in his tiny glory for certain.

Next up was the Mighty Flair Minamoto. Fashionable and Fearsome all in one. A true force to not take lightly.

Next up after Flair was vulcansith. The menacing darkness. All clad in black and wielding the red saber sword. Scary indeed.


Ravalox: And our last contestant is Nerthus!

Ravalox: As Gaia, goddess of the Earth. She is dressed in green, the color of vegetation. Leaves and flowers blend into her skin. In her hand she is carrying a model of the planet Earth.

Truly and specatularly dressed is shades of green. Very elegant and beautiful.

Ravalox: ok let's have all of our contesants come up on stage for a final walk through and line up after hitting the runway !!!


Absolutely a spectacular display of Finery and clothing. Very awesome showing off the clothing that can be worn in Novia .

Ravalox: Excellent all!! The judges will now render their descision !! one moment plase!


And now the crowd waits for the judges. But in my book they are all winners. Good thing was not a talent contest.
We all might of been in trouble. Alot of antics and such going on up there on the stage.

Looking out at the crowd of spectators There ware some really interesting outfits there as well. Like the whos who on the red carpet tonight
And just like that the judges were back.

Ravalox: As we call you name please come to the end of the runway to get your trophy!

And at that there was a tie for third place. Vulcansith and Strider Green
Second place was given to Lily Byrd
And first place went to Nerthus.

The crowd went wild with congratulations and cheering. And I think everyone had a grand time.
And there it is folks. The First Mount Midir Best Dressed Contest. Great Job to all
And as contestants and guest venture outside the scene has become chaotic folks. Dragons have descended down on the venue.
And as this intrepid reporter makes her way down the hillside to the lake . Flames and lightning erupt from the ground.
Looking out amonst the trees Ancient Red Dragons arrive. But are quickly dispatched by our fearless fighters of Novia
Daemons, Obsidian elves, and a few other things onverged on the crowd but were quickly dispatched. And just as suddenly
everyone headed home to rest or continue their adventures.
As I rode to the edge of town it was very exciting to see folks come together for such an event. And having fun.
Reminds us all what this community is , does and can be when asked.

 

Lovely show in a beautiful setting. Lots of interesting outfits to be seen.
