Checking regularly the patch notes. I know they are doing bebefactor etc content but its disheartening to see nothing but paid items. I dont purchase without trying first and considering they havent shown off anything that promising.

Isxthere something they could be holdingback on feature wise? With this years slated launches its going to take more than what has been envisions to get off the ground. Of course a few thousand will love the changes but i fail to see anything above and beyond especially when you look at the sparse indicatore therexwill be anyhing for those that choose to earn any accolades ifame instead of via purchase. Shouldnt we have an idea of how combat goes. Like a firther along version. Wheres the beef

It's unclear whether you've been reading the release notes for the year ahead. Have you read those? They lay out the roadmap fairly clearly.

Granted, it's not in minuscule detail, but it's enough to see where the game is going, and at what release things get updated, eg: combat.

Sure u find piddly stuff. This far along id at least have a fleshed out combat system and work on inconsequentail stuff last. Not first. Maybe its the crowdfunding but it seems kinda like a casino where u throw money at it and pray it works out.

What if i donated thousands. A house abd plot. Im all for nostalgia but aside from the named items wheres the evolution or are we starting from scratch

If that's how you feel (that it's "piddly stuff"), maybe taking a break from the site/updates for another release or two might be a good idea?

Today was my first visit in about a month. And yes. Compared to core fubdamental design elements like combat. Nearly anythig is piddly. See 10 things for ppl to donate and get rewards. Notice it outwieghs every other thing. The ratio doesnt lie. The last update i looked at was 80% or so favoring those who pay to play. At this pace where is the content for non paying ppl?

There is way too little known about vital elements and i dont gamble but for the life of me i dont like crowdfuinding if this is the kind of vigilant watch it takes to try to keep up the guesswork about fubdamental aspects unknown

Would you buy a car if you couldnt look at it or touch it

Well the way i look at it is with such a small team there are going to be bugs and issues that are tough and some unfixable in their scheduled timeframe.

That is why you put complexity and core first. Then structurally insignificant stuff like donation bonuses and housing farther down. Sure they can say combat will be fine but they r just painting themselves in a corner. Game design 101

Welcome to crowd funding. At least we got something. I backed several things where I got nothing and they gave up and kept the money.

    Consider yourself lucky

I dont consider myself lucky i consider myself rational. If thats the concept thats making the game this way then its RGs burden to bear because if he adheres to another gaming philosophy and rationals of another like he did with origin wouldnt it be hustory repeating itself

Well, it is his game. If you don't like it you don't have to play it.

You knew from the Kickstarter terms and agreements that you might be "wasting" your money and if you didn't now you do.

This release is the first time I have gotten the budding feeling that this game might turn out to be pretty fun.

I'm sad that you do not agree, but hope that the game changes your mind or that you find some other project that'll sweep you off your feet and give you everything you want. I look forward to what is to come, but hope that Portalarium is able to prolong the development phase and release the game sometime during 2015 so that every part of it can be done properly.

I think they should have looked at how Star Citizen structured their fundraising.

The Founder vs Benefactor thing was a really bad idea. So was making an artificial cut off date, because after it there's less incentive to back you won't get a lot of cool things.

Also the higher end pledges are way to expensive for what you get. What wife in her right mind would be fine with you dumping 12 G's into a Castle in a virtual game ?

Star Citizen didn't do any of those things, and judging from what they raised they did it right.

Games are a gamble full stop, I backed the game to founder because it's what I would have paid for a full title on steam at release, It's RG and it's Ultima as far as I am concerned so it got my money, If I lose it wtf I don't care!, Life is short enjoy it m8. So far after release 4 I am pleased but also worried about this game, It seems too much old school design and not enough AAA, But it's fun just to be on this ride and I feel with the testing alone I have got my moneys worth!.
