"Stones"

Hi everyone,

Will SotA have some version of Stones? I love that song, it brings back such great memories.

I think EA have the copytight of Stones, but Iolo will made new art! =)

If RG was able to buy one thing off of EA, I would want it to be Stones.

I hope David "Iolo" Watsons new music for SotA is as timeless as Stones

 

I agree 100%.

It really was part of the package and would cement this as a spriritual successor.

There has to be some way to do it without too much cost, pop artists are stealing peices of other songs all the time with remix's or even just sampled mixed in with the songs.

 

Does EA really have exclusive right to, or ownership of, "Stones"? I was under the impression that it was a song that David Watson wrote and owned for which he granted usage rights to Origin which then passed to EA, but that could be totally wrong. I do know that the song existed before it was featured in an Ultima game.

To me, Stones is as integral a part to Ultima as Britain is. We've heard the song made and remade for decades. Is there anything we can do to get this song in game? Does EA own the rights? Can we make a petition? THey're not making money off of it.

 

Agreed, "Stones" is something special to the Ultima series and I would love to see it in this game as well.

Stones was owned by OSI (Origin Systems, inc.), which is no longer active, leaving IP rights to EA Games.
