VERY close to 4 million worth of pledges...

What an accomplishment. And from the people I played with in UO and the people I have seen here so far (I know none of you except 1 guy (TEK) from Storm Haven on SP that I knew of but never met)... and how long it took me to find this... (I'd have been on board from day one had I known about it)....

What I'm trying to say is. I think there are many more out there who don't even know about this yet. The people here so far are HUGE Ultima fans, like me.... Or people who are really into the gaming and similar communities (real life and on youtube) that visit conventions and stuff (a small percentage overall of customers). And people who follow RG and the rest of the crew involved....

When I found the Noah (Spoony's) video with Richard Garriott, that was the first time I knew there was a new project in the Ultima vein coming from Mr. Lord British himself. I didn't discover Spoony's stuff until recently and just his passion for the series really made me a fan. Then seeing the two of them together talking about a new Ultima game. Crazy stuff for a fanboy like me. I assumed it was going to be a single player game and was excited... now here I am... been participating a little late in process and feeling like I'm always trying to catch up.

So how many others are out there who would be big into this who just haven't found it yet?

Good luck to the SotA dev team in seeing this through with success and the the satisfaction you'll get from making the choices and doing the work needed to please your fanbase, and all my fellow players in getting what you want and having some great times in the game.

I'm a little bit worried we all have different visions...

This is a dev team and a player base that all has their own visions of what they want from the game and our one linking thing in common is our love of Ultima and UO. Those two things alone have such a varied and deep history and many different experiences for different people over the years.

Many of us have put a lot of time into this thing that brought us all together. We'll never be able to re-capture the past just how we want it.... because we all want different things.

But in the end, we're all going to be in this world we play. And that's what makes this game different. We have one thing in common. Ultima.

 

Well said and Great Accomplishment as it is almost to 4 million raised. I played on Lake Superior back in the day and absolutely cannot wait until SoTA is released!

 

I can't wait just for the next test phase in one week. I missed the last one.
