I think there is a typo on the Lord Pledge Rewards page...It says Baron as title?

    Exclusive Title

Your in-game avatar will receive the honorific title of "Baron" to be proudly displayed for all to see (title visibility controlled by player).

I can't explain it, but that's what it seems to be. The "Lord" (pledge level) is either a Baron or High Baron, depending on founder status. So floating above my head would be Baron, or High Baron (in gold) Asclepius.

The "Baron" (pledge level) is a Viscount (benefactor) or Earl and Baron (Don't know how that's combined) for Founder. Could that be Earl Asclepius - Baron??

It is a bit confusing to use the same title twice - IF that is correct we'll have to rely on the Earl/Viscount honorific to pick out the "actual" barons.

Yes. That is the way it is before the Kickstarter ended.

After rereading it. Why isn't there a "Lady" option?

Yeah, it's kind of messy because they did not list the proper real life titles when they first listed them on Kickstarter. "Lord" is really a form of address for several of the titles of nobility. Founders at the Lord pledge tier (who are actually barons) have the option of the titles "Lord" or "High Baron". Benefactors are "Barons". The Baron tiers do not equate to "Baron" title in real life, but rather to the "Viscount" and "Earl" titles. (They couldn't go back and rename the tiers after the fact to correspond to their correct real-life titles as that would cause even more confusion )

I never payed much attention to titles till now and i can see how this will get confusing. So i will be a High Barron and not a Lady or Baroness even tho I play a female avatar and at the Lord pledge tier and not the Barron tier?

    Gracekain,

Well they might allow you to name your Founder Lord tier female avatar "High Baroness" or "Lady" (Benefactors would get the "Baroness" option). Certainly makes sense, but I don't think anyone's brought that to their attention before...

Well, there were many suggestions for intermediate tiers between knight and lord and between lord and baron, but apparently no action has been taken regarding that. I'm still hoping for a "High Lord" tier myself ;)

Lords tier should have Lord or Lady. It only makes sense and Baron tier should have Baron and Baroness. Weather they are High or not is up to you ;).

You misunderstand me, GraceKain. The "High Lord" tier was a proposed new tier between the Lord and Baron tiers.

I agree, there should be a "Lady" title for the female characters. The Dev's could add this I think.

I completely agree with you that there should be one. As well as duchess, etc.

No that is true. But you would expect a well known D&D expert storyteller paired up with a published fantasy author to be able to figure out titles.

The titles thing bugged me too.
I mean, dang guys and gals, it's not like they had to read a book on the subject of gender o_O (Birds + Bees = Different).

As for the other nobility issue.... a Lord pledge is a Baron's, a Baron's pledge is a Viscounts and if you follow the white rabbit down the little hole, I'm sure it could make sense somewhere... but only if you eat the blue pill Neo:cool:

Well, it makes sense if you realize that Lords must be members of the peerage.

+1 for a High Lord pledge. But what would the Title associated with said pledge be?
