Anyone else having problems claiming a lot?

wow I went to every town no lot available save 1 village lot?
Do they time out in R5 so others get a chance?

 

Have you tried some of the new villages? Some lots there are town lots although I don't think they have city lots...could be wrong but I haven't seen any.

I wanted to grab a city lot so I could look at some of the new houses... the Duke Castles in particular...but all the city lots were taken. There's only like 3 or 4 city lots in Owl's Head, and I don't think they are any city lots anywhere else. So it looks like I can't do that, and that sucks. They should put the 1-hour timer on the land lots like they did before.

 

I love the folks claiming plots and leaving them empty.

 

With having to work a 330-1200 and I had an appointment opening day...

Why would someone claim a lot, I mean it's still a lot no house yet?

 

I tried village to village south down the map...no avail

 

I eventually found a village lot in Righlnis - ENE of Owlshead. I think there may be a few lots left. Good luck!
The "player towns" are hard to navigate - no real roads, no fences, just houses plopped among the trees. Just finding my place again is an achievement!

 

No, but i did lose my house one time because i forgot where it was.

 

Yeah I thought of doing that too, then I figured somebody else would have thought of it to be funny and ironic. So I left it as a simple house instead.

I found quite a few plots last night in the various player towns. Look carefully because some of the plot markers aren't the most visible things in the world. I found one along side the road going down a small hill that the road turns to the right at the bottom of, but if you went straight down the road off the hill there was a plot marker there no one claimed.

 

There is one at the top tier of the new forest village housing area, in the most NE part of the isle. It was mine but i had to delete char and make a new one as stuck and when i went back the game wont let me have the same plot again so im homeless again.
It was free 5 mins ago...run run run !

 

It would be a great feature imo if in the overland map on mouseover it would show available plots left

 

Agreed. i would love to have played with housing since this is the first build I got to try and it either the P command does nothing or everything is gone. I've been running around for hours with no luck. We need WAAAAAY more real estate.

I'm not sure if there just aren't any lots available, but when I press/hold 'P' I see no changes on screen.

 

I've been searching all day for a plot with zero luck in the player towns and the real towns. I see a few people stress testing the housing which is great, but most are empty or nearly empty. Come on people, if you have a house, use it or give it up so someone else can generate useful test data.

 

I did claim a village lot. The problem now, is I forgot where it was!

 

I looked for a long time, but wasn't able to find a lot. Though I'm quite sure had I found one, I never would have found it again.
Also, as was discussed in previous releases, the 'rural' towns look very strange covered in mini castles and towers.
