R7 SOTA World Cup Tourney...?

    ok, i know, they have enough to do as it is.

    but adding a working soccer ball to R7 would enable us to set up player matches! and a city-sized lot would make a perfect pitch.

    if the devs would arrange to put it in, i would happily create and submit the asset.

    any love?

    Probably need a castle lot!

    They could sell football tops in the add-on store: Britannia City / Owls Head United. :p

    Kicking a ball would likely need an animation and some code for the physics of the ball.

    Earth soccer might be a little misplaced in New Brittania, but kicking a ball in general does work for creating immersion in the game and gives kid NPCs an ideal behavior. I'm for it!

    no, no special animations needed. the running animation is fine in an of itself, we're not talking about creating a soccer video game here. all that needs to happen is the ball needs to bounce away from a character when he/she runs into it

    Of course, but as long as it fits New Brittania lore, if not, no. Maybe there could be some popular sport in New Brittania similar to soccer, or not, and have monthly tournaments between towns or something. Something else to make tournaments and not only involving swords, spears, shields, arrows and horses. :)

    I'm sure a few soccer fans that are now dashing knights would get bored and get a NB version of soccer going :D

    I'm ok with it. It could also be a full game component later on, if people likes it maybe, (as a suggestion), why not?, we could have jousting, duels and maybe another a sport not involving fights (soccer or something else).
