Congratulation for Portalarium for winning "Best Indie MMO" at E3.

Is Portalarium going to refund kickstarter backers who did not want an MMO, since it was specifically stated this was not going to be an MMO during the kickstarter fundraising?

How a game can be awarded being best at anything without being released is beyond me. Let's hope SotA will not share the fate of some games that earned best awards, without being released, in the past.

I think they said that it was not going to be what you might consider a traditional MMO...and it's not. Still I'm sure they'd consider a repayment in full of the 4M over a semantic point.

Okay, ignoring the original intent of this thread entirely:

How many "Indie MMO" titles were actually displayed at E3 ?

Just wondering whether SotA was alone, and simply received the award as some much appreciated goodwill. Or whether there were a pile of contenders for the title, and we won based on our pure "awesomeness" ? :)

    I want back my money.

P.S. An indie game is a game maded by a single people, at least by few people, over 40 people are working at the project right now.

That term "indie" is really different now as it seems to imply a team without a publisher like EA, Ubisoft etc.

Actually, an indie game is a game made by an independent developer, i.e., a developer like portalarium that is small and doesn't have access to millions upon millions of dollars from madden every year. You've seen their offices.

As far as your money back, support@portalarium.com, but when you gave them money you agreed that it was non-refundable, probably when you signed up at this site.

    Anyways good luck

No, because you can always play Single Player Offline or even Single Player Online. That covers that!!! :)
